¡Buenas tardes a todos!
Glad to hear that everyone had a good weekend! It is always great to have a weekend to relax and recharge. I can’t believe that March is almost gone and that we are almost to April! Sounds like Utah is in its normally short-lived spring.
The weather here in Mexico City is following a fairly regular daily pattern now. Clear morning skies, with fairly warm early afternoons, followed by the later afternoon overcast and then comfortable and clear nights. We have been receiving the occasional sprinkles or the occasional thunderstorm, but the rainy season is still a little ways off.
We are one week into this new transfer, and a few changes were made in the zone, but none in our district. So, things are moving forward without much change. As far as what is going on here in our area, we have quite a few investigators who continue to progress, and a couple who are on date to be baptized this week. My companion and I are pushing forward and we are seeing results bit by bit.
This Friday, our stake here will be putting on a small work of theater about families and family history work. A local university group which is interested in learning more about why the church is so involved in family history will be attending, and we started handing out invitations Friday around the chapel. We hope this goes well, and I think it will be interesting to see how many people attend.
Besides that, I don’t have much newsy news to share this week. The work in the Lord’s vineyard continues to move forth, and the harvest is ready for all who thrust in their sickle. I know that the Lord lives and that this is His church. His arms are open to all who wish to come to him. There is plenty of evidence that the Spirit of the Lord is preparing the hearts of men and that angels are preparing many. Can you see it?
