¡Bienvenido a México! (Welcome to Mexico!)

After having received a phone call from Elder Gardner from the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport in Texas (around 9:00 am), we then tracked his flight and “saw it land” (online) in Mexico on Monday night, July 8, 2013. Tuesday evening we received a welcome letter and picture from President and Sister Anaya. Tyler arrived safely (sigh of relief from mom), and is excited to get to work. Here is the letter and the picture that we received:

We want to express our deepest feelings of gratitude to you, and at the same time notify you that your son, Elder Gardner, has arrived in the mission field with good health and a sweet spirit of love and service.

We are at your service, and we know that the Lord will fill you with blessings for all the work that your son is doing in this great work.

We recommend to you, for strength and health to him,  to write him by e-mail every week , so it will help him to be in contact with you; that your words will encourage him to follow everyday working faithfully.  We hope these words can be full of  optimism and faith.

If on some ocassion you desire to speak with him about some family matter, don´t feel that you can´t do so. Please call to the mission office or mission house, and we can help.
